Construction has begun on our new Learning Commons Center at Bristol Community College’s New Bedford Campus. Work includes the renovation of the entire 5th floor of the historic Cherry Building in downtown New Bedford and the conversion of former office spaces into a new learning center. Programmatic spaces include group study rooms, tutoring spaces, computer stations, testing rooms, office spaces and IT support.
The placement of borrowed lites were carefully considered in order to make use of natural light to the greatest extent possible and minimize the need for artificial lighting. Energy efficient upgrades include the installation of new LED lighting and upgrades to existing HVAC systems.
