Originally designed prior to the enactment of the ADA, one of the prime goals of the project was to provide easy and direct handicapped access to both venues. Additional goals of the project included consideration of program revisions to better respond to current uses and improve general curb appeal.
The revisions to the Campus Center Main Entrance include an open and flexible plan that will serve as a link between East and West Campuses with various digital media upgrades.
Goals of the project included consideration of program revisions to better respond to current uses and improve the general curb appeal. The new Lounge at the Campus Center provides an area for Commuters to do work or pass time between classes while on Campus.
Feasibility Study: this included review of accessibility concerns and finish options.
Phase I Renovations: the work addressed accessibility and life/safety concerns at the first floor level; provided new finishes for existing wall and floor surfaces throughout the auditorium as well as new seating at the first floor level.
RCC: modifications of exisitng partitions, doors and hardware to install a lift between the house and stage floor levels.
CSB: New inclined stair lift at building’s primary inteiror stair core and new exterior ramp to address existing grade changes.
